It’s time for new leadership in CUSD Area 1!

 

I have been in education for over 30 years, with teaching experience in grades TK-12.  I am also a wife, mother, and community advocate who is concerned about the direction education has been heading. Capistrano Unified School District enrollment is way down and families are choosing other educational options. Teachers are losing their jobs. This is largely due to the direction the current leadership is going. We need to do better for our families and stop this mass exodus from our amazing school district.

 

My experience and my passion for students and families makes me the most qualified and informed candidate to lead Capistrano Unified School District into success.  As your trustee my commitment is to get political agendas out of the classroom and get back to excellence in education.

 

Teachers are being bombarded with programs and requirements that take their time and expertise away from providing excellent instruction. They also are not being given the support they need in providing a safe and secure learning environment. I will work hard to support parents, equip teachers, and provide students the tools they need for success in the 21st century.

If you elect me to represent you on the Capistrano Unified School District board, I will:
 

Fight for a high-quality education for every student

Remove political agendas from the classroom

Promote parental involvement in their child’s education

Increase transparency to ensure a strong educational

partnership between parents, teachers, and the school board

Provide a safe, secure learning environment for our students

Ensure money goes directly to our classrooms,

not wasteful bureaucracy
